I hope to see the band hydro this year and eat some really great food. I cant wait till Aug. 2012. This is the best festival i have ever gone too and enjoy the music and dancing with some really great caribbean food.

Ya Maka My Weekend starts Friday, August 09, 2013 at 5 p.m. and Saturday, August 10, 2013 at 3 p.m. Tickets are $9 for a one day ticket or $14 for two days. Tickets are on sale now!!!
Ya Maka My Weekend is a signature festival for The District that was born in 1992. Reggae bands, steel drums, and beach music fill the streets. This arts & cultural event also features Caribbean-style food, an open air marketplace, island activities for kids, and a sand beach.
Located in Downtown Rock Island, Illinois on the Great River Plaza on 2nd Avenue between 17th & 19th Streets.

Good news Jen…Hydro Afro Reggae band returns Saturday, Aug 11, Plaza Stage 6:45pm to 9:15pm.
